a big mistaken adventure of Mario and Luigi throug the koopa hotels where is the princess? and the end?
The objective of staying hotels is to find a good summer housing around the Manhattan area.
Let's say for the summer housing, I want it to be within 35 minutes of commuting time in radius using the Grand Central Station as the center of the circle.
Thus to search for such housing, it's better for my temporary hotel to be somehow near to a place where summer housing is potentially abundant, and where it is easy for me to check out those houses which are close to the Manhattan area.
How do I find such hotels for my initial stay in NYC which are affordable but still near Manhattan? I hope this hotel is located at a place where houses are abundant and it is easy for me to find the house…
And the hotel will not be at the center of the Manhattan, because those hotels are very expensive.
Thanks
To Goz1111: could you please give me more detailed information about the hotels? Please be advised that I am using a short stay in hotel to find a good summer housing.
I can do room sharing or studio, my budget is <=$1500 per month for the summer housing, is that still infeasible, for a house within 35 minutes in radius using Grand Central terminal as the center of the circle?
—————————————–
Thanks a lot!
Please let me emphasize since I do rely on Internet to get housing information, so Internet connection in those hotels are critical for me.
Also, do you guys think it's going to be hard to find a summer housing(3month stay) in a region that is within 35 minutes commuting time in radius using Grand Central Station as the center of the circle?
thanks

You can use the systems on internet to find hotels, read reviews and even see how much they would charge and if they have rooms available for when you want to go.
Then you make a note of the name of the hotel and use a search engine (google or something like that) to find the website of the hotel or a hotel listing for the town.
With that information you can phone them.
Of course, you can also just use Google to find hotels without using the booking sites, but I found they have useful information about the hotels, certainly when you find one that has reliable reviews.
The old way is to buy a guidebook, buy the one made for your kind of budget, and phone based on the reviews in that book.
For backpackers and budget travelers the Lonely Planet series are great, but if you like 4 star hotels they will not be as helpful.
Which site would be the best to start looking depends on where as much as how expensive. I would just spend an hour or so and do several searches, both using a booking site as first source and using a search engine without a booking site to.

Hi Locobree,
In La Romana, just behind the Police Headquarters, you will find a very decent hotel (B.B.) for less than 60 us per night!! And I use it every time I go to La Romana. Sorry I forgot the name but just ask once you are there (Police Station) and it is about 350 m from the station.
DonĀ“t believe all the non-sens some people answer you….

The reason bedbugs are such a huge problem in this country is because people are fucking retarded. When they encounter bedbugs, they don’t take action until like 3 months later when they realize that they’re in some deep shit. It all scatters.
At least there are few people out there who have some common sense.

Traveling in May when the holiday season has not started yet you will find hotels easily all over Germany and Austria. You should really not take the first hotel getting off the highway. I recommend traveling some miles on a country road and you'll find good and well worth the money hotels all over both countries.
And.. don't use hotels which have restaurants with translated menues.. often a indication of poor quality and attempts to defraud unconscious tourists.

Figure out which station you want the hotel to be near, then look-up the station on Yahoo maps, and under the "Travel & Transportation" of the "Smartview" check the Hotels radio button. This will give you a list of hotels that you can look-up. You can also find decent prices for these hotels at Hotels.com.

I doubt if you've looked carefully enough. It's a tough job with over 200,000 hotels worldwide multiplied by the number of different room types in each hotel over the number of days in say a year including peak and low demand periods , with or without inclusions and free extras , so it has to be automated with technology / search !!
